After a 12 year break from racing, and after being asked to visit Donnington Park to help Tony Lynch (2020 British Supernodified Rallycross Champion) i have been hooked again into the world of motorsport and to start racing again, but this time i am looking at how far i can take it to a prestige level and grow brand awareness and generate business for sponsors as well as showing them a great time in motorsport .whilst networking with other clients.
2021 was my first season in Rallycross taking part in the BTRDA and British Rallycross Championship. With a late start to the season with covid restrictions we had a solid year finishing 4th overall in the BTRDA and 9th Overall in the British Championship. 2022 we challenged for both titles but after a season plagued with car gremlins we finished 3rd overall in the championship when we were set for the win.
2023 sees us step up a gear and putting us on the BTCC platform with Porsche or Mini but financial backing from sponsors was difficult as businesses try to recover. We continued to work with sponsors and still raced the Ford Focus and finished 5th after just turning up for the weekend and jumping straight in.
As 2024 begins we were still focussed on the BTCC Porsche package but with escalating costs this has been a challenge. Then out of the blue we were approached by something a little different, the Student Motorsport Challenge and City Car Cup. This will be an exciting year working with a professional team in these small cars were every little counts.
